North Florida Pecans

· Our pecans are always the current year crop.

· No synthetic pesticides are used on our pecan crop.

 

We have over 68 pecan trees of several different varieties and ages. Our trees are anywhere from 2 years old to over 60 years old. Due to their size some of our trees drink around 100 gallon of water a day and need up to 125 pounds of fertilizer twice a year. Due to the amount of fertilizer needed to keep our trees strong and healthy we do use a synthetic fertilizer. We never use pesticides on our trees. We do get bugs but they rarely damage enough pecans to justify pesticides. Our best friend for assisting us with pest are birds and they do a great job.
